Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX : BGL) is developing the high-grade Bellevue Gold Project in Western Australia. The company recently released a Definitive Feasibility Study outlining a robust underground mining and onsite processing operation with industry stand out production, financial and ESG metrics underpinned by the exceptional grade of the project.
The Bellevue Gold Project is located approximately 30km north of Leinster township and sits in a major gold and nickel producing district.
The Company has a highly skilled management team with a track record of exploration success and development of major gold mines.
The company is currently progressing the Bellevue Mine into production, aiming to become a Western Australian focussed significant gold producer.
We are currently recruiting for a... Mine Geologist. This position is responsible for providing all aspects of underground geological activities.
This position is offered on a full-time basis, working 12 hours per day on an 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, days off roster at our Bellevue Gold Project outside of Leinster WA.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) :
• Develop, implement and monitor various underground geology procedures including but not limited to face mapping and sampling, wall mapping, UG drill design
• Design and track UG drilling activities and programs to meet and comply with the Geology targets, including drill rig supervision
• Implement and execute an UG wall mapping program
• Liaise with engineers and other stakeholders for the most effective approach with regards to rehabilitation activities
• Supervise and train Geologists for underground activities
• Ensure the provision of quality logging, sampling and QAQC practices from resource definition and grade control drilling programs.
• Assist surface exploration activities as required
• Monthly reporting of UG geology related activities
• Assist with wireframing and updating of significant geological structures within the mine
• Ensure UG drill platforms are adequate and available according to the schedule
• Ensure UG activities are completed in accordance with all relevant H&S policies and procedures
Essential selection skills criteria and experience required :
• Tertiary Qualification in Geology
• At least 5+ years in mining including minimum of 2+ years in an UG production role
• Sound knowledge of mapping, structural geology, geochemistry, drilling and sampling techniques. Some understanding of resource estimation methods would be beneficial.
• Competent user of mining and geology related software packages
• Understanding of general mining operations, Gold experience highly desirable
• Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirements
• Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management skills
• Proficient in technical writing, reporting and communicating of technical data to the relevant Government authorities and investors / shareholders as required
• Demonstrated leadership skills; inclusive of training and retention of technical and field staff and consultants
