Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Assistant Client Accountant. The successful candidate will support clients in their daily bookkeeping needs, process invoices and bank reconciliations, and manage other accounting activities promptly and accurately. In addition, the Assistant Client Accountant will work directly with the clients to address any queries and provide ad hoc support as required.
• You will manage a portfolio of small to medium-sized businesses and contractors alongside a Senior Client accountant.
• Provide accounting, tax, and strategic planning advice to our clients to help them grow their businesses.
• Review Stat accounts, VAT, Tax, and management accounts prepared by the accounts department for your clients.
• Provide advice and coaching, and share your technical knowledge with the Client Accountants and junior staff.

Qualifications & requirements
• A minimum of two years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
• Minimum of 2-4 years of UK practice experience
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, and FreeAgent
• A strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• An ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• A recognized accounting qualification such as ACCA/CA/AAT or equivalent experience would be beneficial
• Experience in managing a portfolio of clients would be advantageous
