Role Description:
As the Environment, Health & Safety Manager, you’ll take the lead in overseeing and enhancing our EHS programs. You’ll ensure compliance with regulatory standards and corporate requirements while playing a pivotal role in advancing our EHS management system. Your efforts will promote a culture of safety and improve operational efficiency. This position offers exposure to a wide range of EHS topics, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of both Assurance and Control, and facilitating your professional development.
Responsibilities:
-Develop, implement, and uphold comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs aligning with local, European, and Corporate regulations and industry best... practices.
-Conduct routine assessments and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and deploy effective controls and mitigation strategies.
-Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of safety, environmental consciousness, and continuous improvement.
-Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into business planning, decision-making, and day-to-day operations.
-Engage with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and external partners to remain informed about emerging EHS trends, regulations, and best practices.
-Lead incident investigations, non-conformances, and risk management processes to prevent recurrence and promote ongoing improvement.
-Develop and deliver EHS training programs, workshops, and initiatives to enhance employee awareness, competence, and involvement.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
-Demonstrated 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or another highly regulated industry.
-Strong grasp of relevant EHS regulations and industry standards (e.g., GMP, ISO 14001).
-Proven track record of creating and executing EHS programs, policies, and strategies.
-Proficiency in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
