We are looking for a motivated and conscientious Warehouse Manager, This is a challenging but rewarding position, and is ideal for someone with experience of all facets of Warehouse operations, and a demonstrable background in goods-out.
No Weekends Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
• To direct and manage picking, packing and despatch operations
• Manage staff
• Recommend how improvements can be made to Health & Safety.
• Ensure safe working practices are observed at all times.
• Document, review and propose amendments to operating procedures
• Maintain stock accuracy by carrying out periodic and rolling stock counts.
• Reduce picking and packing lead times and improve productivity by reducing non-productive time.
• To assist, encourage and participate in the activities for increasing the overall efficiency of the warehouse in particular Quality Control and Cost Reduction programmes.
• To investigate complaints by customers about product damage caused during delivery and obtain compensation... from the carrier wherever possible. Also agree revised methods, as necessary, to ensure that the same or similar problems do not occur.
The Person Specification
• experience of working in a warehousing and/or distribution department. Experience of both goods-in and goods-out is desirable.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Computer literate and experienced in using Warehouse Management systems.
• Valid FLT licences.
• Proven experience of people management.
• Focussed on productivity, quality, and cost.
• Health & Safety conscious
