We have a unique opportunity at the Revolutions Transport Museum, at Whiteman Park for a permanent, fulltime Museum officer. Your passion for promoting positive customer experience, and daily operations of museum curatorial environments will make you the ideal candidate for this role. Located in the beautiful Whiteman Park, the Revolutions Transport Museum is the home of the Whiteman Collection – a diverse array of objects collected by Lew Whiteman and bequeathed to the WA State Government – the museum tells the story of the evolution of land transport in Western Australia and the impact it has had on the economic, social and cultural development of the state. This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the... initial date of appointment. To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate: Experience in a customer service-focussed curatorial environment, with good communication and sound presentation skills to deliver professional tours and interpretive experiences to a wide audience. Knowledge of current and emerging trends, practices and procedures in museum and curatorial environments. High level computer literacy including the ability to accurately record and process data into required formats/databases using existing procedures and undertake research. Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Personal Leadership Core leadership behaviours outlined in Leadership Expectations are applicable to this role and should be demonstrated in the context of Personal Leadership .
