Position : Packaging Engineer
Location : Subang Jaya
Key Responsibilities:
• To execute new packaging development project (local/global) according to Packaging Development Brief and in compliance with Packaging Development SOP.
• To execute product packaging improvement initiatives, cost saving project, production trial, competitor analysis and monitoring.
• To design the plan for the experiment, conduct the experiment, consolidate the results, analyze the data, finalize the conclusion, and generate the technical report.
• To establish packaging specifications based on packaging test data and assessment reports.
• To ensure the final packaging standard samples are tally with approved specifications and to obtain approval for QC standard (primary, secondary & tertiary packaging ).
• To check the packaging final production mock-up samples prepared by the technician and to obtain approval from all the related stakeholders.
• To support production troubleshooting and perform... investigation on packaging defect component.
• To work / communicate closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, Marketing (local/global), Operation and Product Development team in packaging development and operational matters.
• Perform any other duties / tasks that may be assigned by the Management team from time to time.
What you will need:
• Diploma and above in technical areas (chemistry, mechanisms, or other engineering background related) or professional certificate with minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Minimum 2 - 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment or related background.
• Basic understanding of packaging materials.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with co-workers.
• Knowledge of scientific and technical aspects of the operation.
• Good oral and written communication and computer skills, must have the ability to effectively understand, read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in the English.
• Able to travel to multiple locations to conduct trial production
