Must-haves
- 5+ years on Mainframe z/OS...
- 5+ years of CICS experience (versions 4.1 and after preferred - currently on 5.6)
- Strong experience with performance tuning, monitoring, debugging, root cause analysis/problem determination, and software installations
- Strong experience with JCL and various vendor utility programs

An enterprise financial client is seeking a CICS Systems programmer to join their team on a hybrid schedule in Charlotte, NC - Plano, TX, Jacksonville, FL - or Richmond, VA. The position supports a large scale CICS/TS environment running in a zOS parallel SYSPLEX environment with complex multi-tiered applications making heavy use of MRO, IMS, VSAM files and DB2 & supports CYBER MRA strategic initiatives.. This function performs software implementation, maintenance, certification testing, development and documentation of operational procedures. Problem debugging and root cause analysis, interaction with software vendors. The group this position is part of will require some off-hours and on rare occasions (major releases) weekend work as well as rotation in 24 x 7 ONCALL support. The ideal candidate will be mid - senior level and have experience working at an enterprise organization as part of a highly collaborative production support team
