We’re are looking for an:
HSE Advisor

The 2GW program:
Europe's energy transition is among the greatest challenges of our time. Its goal: To make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 at the latest. The Netherlands and Germany have therefore set themselves ambitious goals to expand offshore wind energy: as early as 2030, Germany and the Netherlands want to reach a capacity of 30 and 22.2 Gigawatts, respectively. Energy from offshore wind farms in the European powerhouse North Sea will play in this a crucial role. We guarantee that this energy will reach the mainland - and in the most environmentally friendly way possible. That is why we have developed the 2GW program with a unique transnational approach. And thus increase the pace and efficiency of the energy transition.

Between 2028 and 2031, our company will realize the following 525 kV bipolar connections of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) with a capacity of 2 GW each in designated wind areas in the Dutch and... German North Sea. These projects are part of the 2GW Program.

Role:
As HSE Advisor within a regional cluster you are the Single Point of Contact assigned to one or multiple contracts that are part of a regional cluster of the 2GW projects and program (construction of onshore converter station, installation of HVDC onshore cable, installation of offshore HVDC cable and installation of HVAC cable to sub-station). You coordinate all HSE related activities, including safety inspections and audits. You have knowledge of HSE topics and actively requests support from HSE colleagues when necessary. You work closely together with and report to the HSE Business Partner of your regional cluster.

As HSE Advisor you:
• Support the project team of the assigned contract in implementing, maintaining and adapting (if needed) the mandatory HSE tasks in compliance with our SMS elements, legal requirements, permits and contract including our requirements;
• Adopt regional cluster specific HSE goals and initiatives;
• Report to the HSE Business partner of the regional cluster;
• Act as main point of contact for the assigned contract(s) in the regional cluster when it comes to HSE topics;
• Ensure that the Project specific HSE policy and the company wide HSE policy and requirements are aligned and fulfilled by the contractors by (co-)reviewing contractor documents including HSE plans, Work Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Incident reports, monitor the performance of the Contractor by inspections, safety walks, HSE-audits and HSE-evaluations etc.. Active participation in contractors HAZID, HAZOP, Risk assessments, workshops, design reviews and HSE meetings;
• Work together with the Contractors HSE-team resulting in acting as one HSE-team respecting eachothers role.

Profile:
• This position requires an MBO+/HBO, Vocational/Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent working and thinking level;
• You have a formal HSE qualification such as MVK/IVK/HVK/Nebosh or equivalent;
• You have a profound working experience in the field of HSE (> than 5 years);
• And experience in working in multi disciplinary projects (offshore/construction) and collaboration with multiple stakeholders;
• You show independence, initiative, and the ability to work in a team. This is for you just as natural as strong communication skills. Your Dutch and English skills are good (verbally and in writing). For the this role additional language skills are welcomed;
• You are willing to travel and follow offshore training and medical fitness tests when needed for the specific contract.

Important to know:
• Experienced HSE Advisor is required with min. relevant experience. It is an operational role (mainly on location / on the contruction site at the Maasvlakte), candidate has to have at least a MVK qualification. Experienced in offshore & construction is highly desired (this will be one of our selection criteria if many candidates are offered from our supplier network).
• Candidate has to speak Dutch (and English).
