UK Based Company is looking for Compliance Accountant
Key Points
• We are looking for an experienced accountant to oversee our client’s Year End compliance obligations whilst working closely with account managers in the UK. The successful candidate will have a high level of attention to detail and the ability to understand the context of company transactions and how to account for them in line with UK GAAP. Having a basic understanding of UK Tax compliance including PAYE, VAT and CT is also required
Job Description / Responsibility
Analyse financial information in Xero, as well as other bookkeeping software, and summarise reconciliation reports.
Correspond with account managers to request information and answer any transaction/reconciliation queries.
Prepare clear, detailed and supported nominal reconciliations.
Prepare working papers using Silverfin.
Prepare year-end accounts (FRS 105 and 102) and Corporation Tax returns.
Meet internal and statutory deadlines.
Work and... communicate efficiently with account assistants and bookkeepers throughout the accounts production process.
Educational Requirements
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting
• ACCA / CIMA / CA
• 3 + years of UK experience
• Xero / FreeAgent experience
• Understanding of FRS 102/A and 105
• Basic knowledge of UK Tax compliance including but not limited to PAYE, Corporation Tax and VAT.
• Skills Required: Accounting and Finance, Accounting and Taxation
