Job title: Senior Structural Engineer
Location: FIFO to the Pilbara region
Roster: 8 days on 6 days off (no travel in your own time)
Rate: $80 - $90per hour plus super | contract length will be 2-3 years long.
We have an exciting opportunity based in the Pilbara region of WA with a FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) arrangement. The roster for this position is 8 days on and 6 days off, focusing on maintaining the structural integrity of existing assets within the Ore Processing Facility (OPF).
The day-to-day responsibilities for this role include:
• Providing structural design calculations adhering to relevant standards and specifications.
• Developing sketches and scopes for remedial works.
• Conducting on-site inspections and generating reports on defective assets.
• Participation in stakeholder meetings.
• Collaborating with on-site stakeholders to develop efficient and practical remedial work packages.
We are seeking candidates with the following skill sets:
• A minimum of 5 years of... experience in structural engineering. While previous experience in the mining sector is preferred, it is not mandatory.
• Proficiency in design software such as SpaceGass.
• Familiarity with current Australian Standards, particularly AS1170, AS4100, and AS3600.
• Capability to create high-quality PDF sketches using tools like Bluebeam.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
