SOCIAL MEDIA BUSINESSES AND NETWORKING’’A REALITY OR A SCAM!

With the way the world is developing as compared to the past, social media is really an important aspect in every area especially for business people. Social media is gradually becoming inevitable for many businesses, this is because it helps the business to attract customers, get customers opinions and feedbacks and build customers’ loyalty and reduces marketing cost. this is because many vendors no longer have a shop or physical; location for their products but rather uses the social media platforms like, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram ,twitter to showcase their stuffs which increases their income. The social medial has really made things easy on this aspect as you get to discuss with customers online till the product reaches you but the thing is some of the vendors are sincere while others are not,in fact some use it as a means to scam people of money, that is why one needs to be very careful while on social media because not all is real, many have been dubbed through the various means

? Some people disguise as vendors and post lovely stuffs on their social media platform, and when people see this they are interested and order for it, but most vendors receive payments before delivering the products and once this is done they come out with some excuses or  block their accounts ,and their customers left frustrated.
? The next which many have been victims is when; you order for something and receive something else. most vendorsuse high quality cameras some even over exaggerates the beauty of their products, looking all beautiful and getting the expectations of their customers up, but once the receive the product is nothing compared to what was seen before and leaves customers dissatisfied, which has been then reason for so many people’s fears of buying things online. Am not saying all are bad, there are vendors who are really sincere and deliver the exact products they ordered for which increases customers confidence and trust. 
? I also blame customers because sometimes they exaggerate, especially when it comes to women’s fashion ,most don’t consider many factors like their body shape and size ,or body structure entirely, and blame their vendors when it doesn’t match with what was seen, actually it matches at times but the difference in body structure can make one to think it’s different. How can you see a dressed displayed on a figure 8 and expect it to look the same as you saw when you don’t have the same body structure, this needs to be highly considered.
? On the other hand some vendors tend to use fake advertisement to showcase the power or reliability of their products, I once ordered a grinding machine commonly known as a blender from someone I know luckily, he showed me videos of how the products work, you won’t believe it the video showcase how this blender works so powerfully, grinding all kinds of things, soy beans, groundnuts, "koki " beans and lots more, seeing this I was so excited like other customers would be, so I ordered for it. To my greatest surprise when it came it could not even grind our normal tomatoes to a fine paste talk less of beans ,it cuts my tomatoes and other spics into rough pieces even boiled groundnuts that happens to be soft ,you can imagine eating food with particles of groundnuts or spices all over its so unappetizing this was really a shock to me because my first simple and cheaper blender could blend far more better than this ,I had no choice than to change the machine to a more simple blender, at least it does the work more than the so called powerful blender. I was just fortunate to have changed it because I knew the vendor personally,imagine a scenario where I did not know the vendorpersonally which is most cases there would not have been room for any refund. Though I changed the product to a cheaper one the rest of the money was not refunded, sincethe new one cost less but I was just happy it was changed.
? Another case is when you order for something and get low quality at a higher price. I will say some of these vendorsexaggerate their profit, how can you sell a product that normally costs 5000 francs CFA for 25000francs CFA, is that not gross exaggeration with low quality? A friend of mine was a victim of this, during the Christmas time there’sa lot of good things with an increase in price, so she ordered a dress from a friend who happen not to be loyal, you will see why. this dressed looked good with high quality as displayed on social media with a high price ,but when it arrived it was so less than what was expected and seen on the social media, she saw this same dress from a friend who bought it for 10000francs CFA while she bought hers for 25000francs CFA what a difference.

Am not saying that online business is bad; it’s actually good but one needs to be really wise when it comes to things like this, I wish all vendors will be sincere enough and deliver the right quality showcased, on the other hand customers really need to be smart while ordering for things.

On the other hand networking business has become the order of the day, one will think it has come to eradicate poverty andhelp those who don’t have jobs have something doing or even to help students but most of it has rather come to scam people of their money, people no longer trust online networking or are scared to invest in businesses because of past experiences of theft. I don’t understand why people will set up system to rub people rather than to help grow and develop their country, our minds are so corrupted and full of theft that we use the knowledge we gained to rub others, while other countries use their technology and knowledge to bring development and employment how much more of us?. So many online networking businesses out there and one will think they are all genuine, we dive and embrace it because of our desire to make quick and easy money, especially youths, and some have joined societies or cults all in the name of online networking. One really needs to be careful let the quest for easy money not pushes one into putting hands where it was not supposed to be. I and many others have lost money to online networking, to a point that even if a genuine one surfaces I believe few will invest because of previous failures, we have so many online networking businesses out there some are genuine while others are not.

There was recently an emergence of a new networking business platform especially in Cameroon and other countries, whose names I won’t disclose for confidential reasons, some of us saw it as a means to earn extra income not until it became something else, Human beings are stubborn and seem not to have learnt from previous scam or maybe there are just trying their luck, well this new online business really looked juicy and answers to many students to make money, all was going well until one day the platform was shut down for reasons best known to the owners ,without access to the platform for many weeks and our access to withdraw money from the platform defiled that was the end of it till date ,all the investments gone, some people actually gained while others lost  a big time, not learning from their experience the emergence of another platform caused Many to rush to it and registered ,oh all was going well, making easy money with little work who would not want that? Thousands of people joined  all over ,oh how we taught it was the answer to unemployment and has come to help students make extra pocket allowance, with the confidence this business gave its users people kept pumping money into the system, some upgraded to bigger levels not until one day ,the sight was not reachable again, and the owners said we should give them more time they have detected so many false accounts so they want to eliminate it, and all users need to register again, which we all did this took a period of about two weeks which we weren’t allowed to withdraw from the platform, that was the first warning but we were blind to it, when all was normal, we began enjoying again ,until without notice - BAM! the platform was not reachable again this time around not for one or two weeks but for a month, a whole month, this was really the height of it because it was impromptu act without anyone’s notice, and no one could have access to the already made money in the system, I wonder how the owners felt, this which had become the lively hood of many just got stocked like this, what of students who depended on this, but the users did not give up. How could they when they have a lot of money in the system ,some millions and everywhere was its all a scam but the users kept hoping still, and after a long time of waiting the owners came up with a different strategy of how some users have been hacking their accounts ant other things so everyone has to suffer for that, they came up with a different means which had to make its users stuck to their phones or lab tops for 10hours all in the name of making money, wasting megabytes on some boring content it was really heart breaking many gave up, some still kept on believing something good would come out of it, of course I don’t blame them, one can’t just forget of their millions invested just like that especially in this our hard economy ,where things are so hard ,inflation everywhere, I don’t know what the owners were thinking but I will say it’s really wicked of them, how can you create a system that will get people stuck in for 10 hours, common a day has 24hours  ,many users are students workers and business people ,how do you expect them not to use their phone for 10 good hours all in the name of many money and megabytes, its inhuman! The users had no choice, however some gave up but others continued and did not give up ,in search other means to reduce this hours some computer literates came up with means to reduce the 10 hours to 5mins but however this was blocked because the owners claimed the users are not following instructions so they suspended it again for some time with no access to withdraw ,later everyone’s money in the system was  deleted and claimed to have been compensated with free 2months, so much injustice has been done on this platform and the worse was when it was changed completely to a new and completely different business. This has really broken many down and will not even invest in case any genuine one comes up again. At the beginning the owner s where all polite but later became so arrogant and abusive and calling people illiterates, soilliterates can’t make money? It all depends on their definition of illiteracy.

I know of many online networking business that started in a promising light but ended up, going away with thousands of users’ money. Why can’t anyone come up with something genuine, to help others after all it’s always a mutual benefit. All this happens on the social medial platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook, where we get information from. WellI also know of people in genuine online networking business one just needs to be really vigilant.
