Laptops are one of the most stickers covered items. Whenever you get bored of having the same look like your laptop, you need to change it. For this purpose, you may use many fancy stickers on the top of the laptop. Now the problem is how to remove old stickers?

Well, removing the stickers from the laptop is not a difficult task if you follow my steps, as described below.

How to Remove Stickers from Laptop - 4 Best Ways

 1). Abrasives

It's possible to apply gentle abrasives like magic erasers, toothpaste, Scotch Brite pads or baking soda paste directly to stickers to eliminate them by wearing them off. You may even rub on a slightly damp microfiber fabric on uncoated stickers to put on off them and eliminate them.

But we advocate caution in utilizing these approaches as using too powerful an abrasive and excess rubbing will harm the underlying surface, particularly if your laptop casing is constructed from plastic. In case you need to use an abrasive remover, then utilize the lightest one which you could find.

 2). Oil Compounds

Implementing mineral oil, olive oil, petroleum jelly, cream, and other similar compounds to stickers can moisturize the surface and help loosen the adhesives, which makes them easier to scrape or peel off.

Simply apply a tiny quantity of oil using a clean rag right on the sticker, and letting it soak up the material. Be careful to prevent any gap in your laptops. This approach works well on uncoated stickers and people who have new stocks. This requires more time on watertight stickers, or people that have a plastic coat since the oil is only going to have the ability to get beneath the borders. In such scenarios, you may leave enough oil onto the sticker for a couple of minutes to let it work under the sticker. Simply scrape or peel off the sticker with a plastic card or scratching tool after a few moments.

Once you remove the sticker, make certain to immediately wash the treated area using a fresh piece of cloth to eliminate remaining pieces of glue and acrylic, as long exposure to such compounds may discolour or harm the surface. You might even wipe off your laptop machine using a slightly damp rag to wash the casing.

3). Solvents

Compounds like lighter fluid, mineral spirits, WD-40 and Goo Gone (all naturally-occurring chemicals too) can decode the adhesives on stickers, which makes them simple to scratch or peel. Non-oil-based solvents like acetone, rubbing alcohol, Windex, and water and vinegar may also efficiently loosen up stickers in your laptop machine.

Taking care to prevent pits or holes in your laptop, use your solvent into a fresh piece of cloth and moist the sticker around the borders. Give the solvent a few minutes to behave on the sticker then carefully peel off it. Once you peel off the sticker, follow by wiping the surface off using a clean bit of lint-free fabric to remove any residual pieces of solvent and glue. After that, you can complete with a slightly damp rag to wash the surface. This measure is very important as leaving solvents in your laptop can cause plastics to degrade prematurely.

4). Heat guns and hair sprays

This is possibly the easiest way to remove stickers from the laptop machine. Make sure you use the lowest setting and tip your own hairdryer or heat gun straight in the sticker you would like to eliminate for 30-45 minutes at one time. If your hair dryer or heat gun sets an embarrassing quantity of heat even in the lowest setting, then decrease the total amount of time for each pass, as too much heat can damage your laptop computer.

After a few moves, you need to be able to peel off just about any sticker off easily and without a tingling or residue. In case the sticker remains stuck, then try to get beneath the border with a fingernail, plastic scraper or charge card and attempt to lift a portion of the sticker off. As soon as you're in a position to lift it, the remainder of the sticker ought to be simple to remove by hand.

Note: Make sure to put your laptop power off and remove the battery if possible to prevent any disaster.

Follow all the mention above steps smoothly and slowly because this process takes time. This is all from my personal experience. And I hope you will get 100% if you follow the same steps.

Cheers!!
