Whatever your assignment, you'll use your education and experience to take on formidable challenges. -We are seeking a Telemetry / Flight Termination System (TM/FTS) individual with a seasoned electrical engineering circuit design background to join our Electrical Engineering team within our Missiles and Fire Control business in sunny Orlando, FL. -In this exciting role the TM/FTS candidate will develop high level concepts and guide team through the implementation details, or actually work part of the implementation. Beyond design we are looking for our candidate to have an overall vision and the ability to collaborate with other engineering functions to ensure all of our systems integration... objectives are addressed. -The candidate will work on our electrical system architecture starting from the customer specifications, guiding and reviewing engineering efforts with others on team. -The engineer will work on some aspects of the system hardware design. The engineer will support telemetry applications that incorporate all or parts of a PCM Data Encoder, Video Compression Multiplexer, RF Telemetry Transmitter, Transmitting Antenna, Receiving Antennas, RF Receivers and Combiner, Telemetry Ground Station with Real-Time Processing and Display capabilities, and Video Extraction De-Multiplexer. - The engineer will be responsible for work test plan and hardware certification/approvals with the Range Safety Officers (RSO). -The role will include both design and integration responsibilities of product design up to the system level. -The engineer will be a part of an IPT team and have ample opportunities to collaborate with other engineering disciplines. -The engineer will have the opportunity to handle cost account management (CAM) duties. -The engineer will interface with the other stakeholders regarding product / hardware size, weight, power and cost (NRE and sustainment). -The engineer will implement DX processes. -The engineer will have the opportunity to mentor less experienced engineers. -The engineer will interact with suppliers and customers and very likely have the opportunity to include travel to the offsite production facilities and or flight tests periodically. -Key success factors for this role will include the engineer's ability to manage cost and schedule, actual system performance as compared to specifications, team engagement / happiness. Basic Qualifications Previous experience with circuit card design is required. - Previous experience supporting large system Hardware/Software integration is required. - Previous experience designing/integrating TM/FTS flight and ground systems - Previous experience working with RSO - Ability to generate technical documentation (Design Requirements, Interface Control Drawing, etc.) is required. - Experience with system level flow down requirements into electrical requirements / implementation (PCB design, Grounding, Power distribution, system interconnect, etc.) is required. - Ability to lead / collaborate with multi-functional teams is required. - The ability to multitask is required. - The ability to generate clear and concise test plans, test reports, analysis reports is required. - Good oral, written communication and presentation skills are required. - Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required. Desired Skills Previous experience with missile architecture is strongly desired. - Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems / programs is desired. - Previous experience with pre-flight certification testing is preferred. - Previous experience with system safety is desired. - Process Improvement, Affordability and CAM experience is desired. - Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking - Full Lifecycle development experience is desired. - A self-starter personality is desired. - Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with a concentration circuit card design and/or integration with relevant experience is desired.
