Louis, MO / Virginia Beach, VA / Wallingford, CT This is not a people leader Mgr role but will operate as an individual contributor without direct reports Responsible for serving as the primary contact for a... specific pharmacy program which may be assigned by geographic location, business unit, or functional area. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: + Manages both internal and external stakeholder communications for assigned area. + Ensures the proper reaction to and resolution of issues concerning the pharmacy benefit program.
+ Acts as a support resource for the sales team regarding efforts to improve the performance of the pharmacy benefit for existing accounts. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Intake of formulary and utilization management change requests from state Medicaid programs, ensuring those changes are implemented timely and accurately Translating client intent into clinical coding requirements Interfaces with multiple teams to ensure smooth implementation of clinical requirements Qualifications + Requires a registered pharmacist + 2 years of managed care pharmacy experience including knowledge of current health care and managed care pharmacy practices + Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background + Current state license to practice pharmacy as a RPH required + Professional designation preferred + Must demonstrate excellent organization skills and be able to manage large volumes of data + Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines + Preferred experience in Medicaid Requirements: + Registered Pharmacist + Requires minimum of 2-5 years of managed care experience or PBM experience + Experience with formulary design and claims operations, development and/or implementation of utilization management edits or criteria + Proficiency in MS Office Suite Anthem, Inc. is ranked as one of America's Most Admired Companies among health insurers by Fortune magazine and is a 2018 DiversityInc magazine Top 50 Company for Diversity.
