Responsibilities

The UCLA Stress, Trauma and Resilience (STAR) Clinic is seeking a part-time licensed Clinical Psychologist. You will be a member of the Division of Population Behavioral Health within the Department of Psychiatry, under the supervision of the STAR Clinic clinical director.You will provide direct clinical care, supervise advanced mental health trainees, and participate in... consultation and training. You will function as part of a multidisciplinary Psychiatry/Psychology clinical team. In addition to clinical care, you will contribute to community-focused trainings in issues relating to trauma-informed care, resilience-promoting strategies, and positive parenting.

The STAR Clinic provides specialized psychotherapeutic interventions to families with young children focusing on improving family cohesion, positive parenting practices and developmentally-appropriate behavior management techniques. The Clinic also operates as a clinical training site for advanced mental health trainees.

Qualifications
Doctoral degree in clinical psychology

Licensed psychologist (clinical) in the State of California and maintenance of California licensure at all times after the hire date

Two years of post-doctoral experience in clinical psychology

Considerable clinical experience in Parent-Child, Dyadic and Family interventions

Considerable clinical experience in evidence-based individual psychotherapeutic interventions, including Families OverComing Under Stress (FOCUS), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

Considerable clinical experience working with families with chronic stressors, traumatic experiences, and/or conflict

Prior experience in training and supervising trainees with mental health degrees

Demonstrated experience in community-based education and/or research

Strong desire to work in a multidisciplinary team

Excellent oral and written skills, including the ability to write and edit manuscripts
