As the... Occupational Accident Profit Center continues to grow, so does the need for talented individuals to aid in the success of the division. This role will focus on the accounting and finance responsibilities associated with managing an Insurance Agency within an Insurance Carrier.

The Occupational Accident Profit Center is part of the Specialty Business Unit (SBU) within A&H and specializes in: Occupational Accident, Contingent Liability and Employers Liability, Non-Trucking Liability, and Physical Damage for Independent Contractors with ancillary Workers Compensation for employees. The target markets are the trucking industry and the Gig Economy. What you will do: Prepare monthly general ledger interface entries to record premiums, expenses, losses and commissions Monthly internal and client facing loss reporting Assist in preparation, development and analysis of financial forecasts and corporate planning Guide C&F billing departments responsible for managing the payments for lines of business outside Occupational Accident Oversee the receiving, invoicing, vendor payment, and commission payment process Support Occupational Accident leadership through financial analysis and ad hoc reporting that will provide accounting and critical data to make informed business decisions Review, improve, and implement process change to yield greater efficiencies within accounting What you will bring to C&F: Accounting, finance, or business degree required 1-2+ years of accounting or finance professional career experience required Insurance experience a plus Possess a basic understanding of accounting principles Strong accounting skills Customer focus
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment High degree of organization to prioritize work and follow up on issues Regularly communicate with supervisor and makes him/her aware of current work load Will abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with C&F's risk management controls Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point What C&F will bring to YOU: Flexible work arrangements.
