The APAC Foundry Operations team partners with Asian foundry suppliers to enable capacity, release NPIs, sustaining production, drive yield enhancement and other value added engineering works driving cost and quality improvements.
The primary responsibility of this role is lead and manage the Taiwan foundry operation team, overseeing all production matters with TSMC. Develop a strong and collaborative partnership with TSMC achieving win-win strategies.
The key areas of responsibility of the jobholder are: -Provide managerial support and technical guidance to the Taiwan team members -Drive key engineering behaviors including but not limited to: o DRI (Direct Responsible Individual) mindset o Attention to details o Engineering curiosity o Fierce commitment to schedules o Data driven, data centric decisions -Develop... a strong and collaborative partnership with TSMC, maintaining a firm and reasonable stand in all engagements with TSMC -Provide thought leadership, identify opportunities of improvement in way of working and not settle for status co -Improve supplier relationships -Work with NXP internal teams to drive issues resolution -Key customer facing, understanding customers technology needs and requirements, drive closure on topics with customers -Develop team members overall technical competence
Qualification: -MSc or PhD in physics or electrical engineering. -In-depth knowledge of IC devices and processes. ->15 years of experience with front-end IC process integration, process development or process transfer projects. -Experience in leading engineering teams, providing engineering guidance -Worked with TSMC as a foundry partner in a similar role before -All rounded knowledge on process integration, product testing, reliability testing, tapeouts, device physics will be needed in the discharge of duties -Good communication skills. -Pro-active working attitude, creative, pragmatic, enterprising and result driven. -Having the ability to influence and steer a discussion -Familiar in managing/working with foundries, maximising leverage from foundries
