The successful candidate will be responsible to: Governs the development of Bank Risk Management Framework and continuously foster improvement; Regularly assess the adequacy of the Risk Management policies and verify that it is fully implemented and followed by staff; Perform annual enterprise risk wide assessment and oversee self-assessment to evaluate major risks and controls in place and develop actions plans for further enhancement of risk management processes; Provide support and management input in Anti-money laundering and Terrorist financing, Information Security, Financial, Non-financial risks and Compliance areas that it governs; Proposes Risk Management strategies and provides advice and support on functional risk decisions; Prepare training program and arrange periodical training of staff and permanently accessible personal consulting to ensure that all employees have a suitable degree of awareness of risk... management; Support management and business units when implementing or following the approved Risk Management Policies, Strategies and processes and ensuring they are integrated into the business operations and with Internal Control and compliance processes; Provide management decisions regarding mitigation of significant risks and control weaknesses; Liaise with regulators and relevant external bodies on risk management issues; Perform oversight of the Bank's compliance with laws regulations, business principles and practices, and rules in risk management area; Governs preparation of regulatory and internal reports in risk management area; Oversees adherence to internal risk limits and KRIs.
The ideal candidate should have the following skills and qualification : Have at least Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting or related discipline; FRM or CFA designation would be a plus. Advanced degree or professional certifications in audit, risk and compliance. Over 10-15 years of experience working in the audit, risk and compliance field. Banking industry knowledge or experience, Knowledge of bank regulatory requirements/expectations MUST. Broad and deep understanding of the community banking industry and the traditional components of risk, governance and control relating to processes. Ability to develop, implement, and administer programs designed to meet Board and regulatory expectations. Conduct ongoing research to anticipate risks. Strong interpersonal and management skills. Must have the ability to multi-task in an international environment. Excellent communication skills in English is expected. Hand-on experience, Ability to communicate effectively with other departments and division is required.
