KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- conducting of complex market research, competitive market analysis and forecasting (purpose is to determine attractiveness and dynamics of a market within studied companys industry sector including market size, trends, growth rate, opportunities, profitability, cost structure, distribution channels, competitive landscape, companys market position, customer base, suppliers and etc.)
- keeping up to date with market developments, news, new investment products and other factors affecting... the market
- conducting of potential portfolio companies commercial due diligence
- financial modelling and projection, valuation of potential investment targets, conducting of potential portfolio companies financial due diligence
- keeping up to date with financial news, new investors and fund-of-funds appearing in the market (potential investment / limited partners)
- support in potential portfolio companies legal due diligence and technical due diligence, supervision of potential portfolio companies due diligence performed by external contractors/consultants
- conducting of business correspondence, meetings and negotiations with potential investors and portfolio companies, delivering of information, providing recommendations and reporting to fund management and/or partners (upon fund managers request)
- assisting to other team members in developing business cases, financial and operational modelling, strategy
- drafting and writing letters, presentations, business plans, investment memos, feasibility studies, preparing information packages for internal use and/or potential investors.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of work experience as an investment analyst:
- in global investment fund (-s), investment bank (-s), international consulting firm or rating agency
- in project finance / M& A / direct investment / corporate finance / strategic planning / etc.
References from previous employers are expected
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Industry and technology knowledge: energy generation, transmission, distribution and storage, alternative fuels (hydrogen, ammonia, etc.), energy management systems, vehicles powered by alternative fuels
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and company valuation
- Excellent information seeking and structuring skills
- Critical thinking
- Advanced user of global data sources
- Advanced user of MS Office including: excellency in Excel, capability to build a complete financial model, preferably with hands-on experience in project finance modeling
proficiency with PowerPoint (or similar soft), excellent presentation drafting skills
experience with Microsoft Project is a plus
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Upper-Intermediate and higher spoken and written English
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Higher education in Economics and/or Finance
Technical / education background (experience) is a plus
