Employee on this position will be responsible for designing robotic stations with focus to packaging, sorting (pick&place) and paletization but also assembly, machine tending, deburring, welding and other.
Reporting to the Design Manager, your skills and technical expertise will contribute to a variety of design projects. Your responsibilities Applying state-of-the-art design methods, tools and engineering practices to design development. Communicating engineering designs and processes to stakeholders... and contributing to design reviews and in project meetings. Working with the supply chain on vendor documentation, bids and evaluations of proposals, materials and equipment. Providing training and assistance to entry-level team members. Designing of automated solutions for robotics stations, grippers, fixtures and other equipment based on input data. Preparation of a robotic station layout including transport systems. Preparation of technical specifications to requests for quotations. Designing mechanical elements / assemblies in accordance with the specifications of the solutions being developed. Participation in conducting tests of developed technical solutions.
Your background Higher technical education (preferred specialization: automation and robotics, mechanics and machine building). Approximately 6 years of professional experience in machine designing including robotic stations (grippers, robot frames, simple manipulators, fixtures). Experience in working with conveyor systems, including pallets, cartons, bags. A good understanding of the principles of operation of industrial robots. Good knowledge of software: AutoCAD, Inventor/Solidworks, MS Office. Very good knowledge of technical drawing and Good knowledge of pneumatic and automation components (pneumatic actuator/valve types, proximity sensors and other, serwo motors etc.). Understanding of the process of production of components made from steel, stainless steel and others. Knowledge of issues related to machine safety (Machinery Directive). Good knowledge of English allowing communication in an international environment. Willingness to occasional business trips (typically 1-2 days) and driving license cat. B.
