We are now advertising for the Maintenance Manager Role
Duties and Responsibilities: ... Monitor and secure inventory. Follow established ordering procedures to replenish supplies and inventory. Minimize waste. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Train staff on emergency situation procedures as and when required. Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction. Inspect the hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards. Inform management of hazardous situations, emergencies, or threats to the security of guests, employees, or hotel assets. Perform maintenance and repairs work on the interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating, air conditioning (HVAC), ventilation, and water treatment systems, and swimming pool if applicable, etc. Ensure that equipment is prepared and operational for the following days work. Perform preventative maintenance as outlined in the Preventative Maintenance Program, which may include and is not limited to: Inspecting building, furniture, bathrooms, guest rooms, etc., inspecting all equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and efficiently, reading, and recording mechanical, electrical and water usage meters to ensure effective energy management, and maintaining inspection logs and records of scheduled work and repairs. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
What we need from you
Advanced technical training cert plus 3 years of experience in general building maintenance or construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional certification and license if required by law.
This job requires the ability to perform the following: Carrying, lifting, pushing, and/or pulling heavy items Frequently standing up and moving about the facility Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling
Other: Specialized knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, electricity, and equipment mechanics. Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with the other supervisors, hotel staff, and guests. Reading and writing abilities are utilized in order to document or record all tasks completed, to order supplies, to receive their instructions for the day, and/or to read equipment repair manuals. Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently. Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards. Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
