We have an exciting opportunity for a Trust Solicitor to join our Private Wealth team.
Based in Central Wellington, the key tasks of this role include managing legal documentation, edealing, preparation of deeds and other documents and providing risk based legal opinions/legal advice and support as requested... by Trust Managers.
This role would suit someone who likes to work autonomously and is comfortable working with colleagues based in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
What you will bring: Ideally at least two years post-admission legal experience, preferably in trusts, wills, conveyancing and estates A current practising certificate from the New Zealand Law Society, and a member of the NZ Law Society Reasonable competence in the Microsoft suite Familiarity with LexisNexis online research and LandOnline Ability to assist the Senior Trust Solicitor with litigation matters as required and may appear from time to time in Court as directed Ability to draft in plain and unambiguous terms, with exceptional communication skills Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with professional people at all levels, and clients of all ages, cultures and levels of financial knowledge is essential Strong interpersonal skills Sound working knowledge of administrative and commercial practices will be essential Ability to apply sound logical thinking in the solving of administrative/legal problems
