He angit?tanga: The opportunity
Auckland Libraries has a strong presence in Auckland and plays an important role in literacy, reading engagement, community development, digital skills and community connection with their arts, culture, and heritage. Our Library & Council Service Assistants are a vital part of our library team ensuring that our libraries provide a world-class customer experience. No two days are the same. You will be answering a wide range of queries and assisting customers to access library & council services and Wi-Fi, as well as digital troubleshooting and general computer queries.

To be successful in this role youll need to be able to collaborate constructively with your fellow team members, be prepared to support their activities and programmes for the day and to take initiative when needed. Flexibility, digital capability, superb... people skills, a willingness to learn, a passion for customer service and a can-do attitude are essential. Naturally, youll be a person who thrives on providing an amazing level of customer service that is second to none and it goes without saying you will be an outstanding communicator, with the ability to build and maintain a relationship with a wide range of people from all walks of life.
