We are currently seeking Multi-Trade Estimator to join our Hamilton Branch.
Reporting to the Hamilton Branch Manager you... will be pricing and co-ordinating reactive service, maintenance and minor project works on our corporate clients property portfolios.
This role would suit an existing trades estimator looking for a new challenge, or a qualified tradesperson with some pricing and/or project management experience, looking to move off the tools. Many of our estimators are trade staff who have transitioned through the company and some have progressed into management positions.
This role is responsible for the successful pricing and delivery of commercial and industrial projects across our nationwide client base. This role may suit an experienced estimator and/or HVAC Project Manager looking for career advancement. Alternatively, you may be a seasoned practitioner looking for a change.
The successful applicant will be part of a diverse trades working out of our Auckland office in Penrose. Our clients include major banks, Government agencies, universities, prisons and, a combination of other leading NZ businesses and commercial premises.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Estimating/pricing service repairs, maintenance, projects and new installations for our carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC teams Preparing and submitting quote/tender proposals Managing minor work projects, ensuring they are delivered to required budget, quality and timeframes Managing close out documentation including variations and reconciliations Liaising with clients, our in-house Trades team and subcontractor networking
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Trade experienced and qualified, with NZ registration Estimating experience is preferred, but training can be provided to the right candidate Computer literate MS Word, Excel and Outlook A good communicator, both written and oral Able to meet deadlines and work with a high level of autonomy Ability to work as part of a team Ability to produce design solutions to existing and new customers Commercial maintenance experience is highly desirable Knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety
