Event Delivery Team Leader - Dunedin Are you a natural leader keen to take on a challenging & fun job while being part of some great kiwi summer action? We need your skills to lead a team installing event infrastructure at racing, sporting and music events across the country.
We are looking for a team of people to join The Races Event Delivery Team in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch & Dunedin. From Christchurch Cup Week to the Dragonboating Nationals and loads of awesome events, festivals and race days in between - we need you to make it happen!!
Youll lead a regional team of four to deliver first-class event experiences, installing event infrastructure and implementing and maintaining practices for events happening throughout the country.
Youll roll your sleeves up and be kept busy! If you love making things happen, leading a team to achieve results and don't mind a bit of hard physical work - this could be the ideal summer job for you.
Leading a close-knit team, you'll work together to install top-quality... events infrastructure safely and on-time: Create and lead planning schedules and communicate across the team to ensure vehicle, travel, accommodation, schedules and people are in place Provide supervision, coaching and ongoing support to your team Manage event administration including travel bookings, staff timesheets, expenses, charge-sheets and stock-take Lead communication with customers to ensure correct event setup and implementation Transport marquees and event equipment to and from events, set-up marquee villages at the events, and pack-down after Fit-out the events with signage, flags, sponsors equipment and other event materials

There will be some long hours, some tiring work, and some tight deadlines - but we commit to looking after you and your team on the road, and to help you enjoy the summer as we work to pull off these great events.
To be successful in the role, you must meet the following requirements: Physically fit with the ability to do full days of manual work lifting equipment and setting up marquees A driver licence and able to drive a manual vehicle (stick shift). Bonus if you have a Class 2 truck licence Leadership experience with previous success in overseeing projects and supporting people to achieve results A reliable team-player with a friendly 'can do' attitude and great customer service ethic Initiative with the ability to work unsupervised and problem-solve while under pressure Availability and willingness to work and travel weekends, over-night and through holiday periods for a 3-4 month fixed-term contract Successfully undergo a pre-employment drug & alcohol test Experience working in events, infrastructure, rigging, sport, recreation, or transferable experience in front-of-house hospitality, agriculture, labouring, construction or, operations.
