Payroll Manager Dunedin This role involves the management of all payroll services to ensure accuracy and timeliness is maintained, and objectives are met.
It involves the guidance and development of a team to deliver a client focussed payroll service. This includes enabling a high performing work culture; and ensuring people and system resources are deployed and used effectively and efficiently.
Lead and manage University wide payroll services and activities that align with best practise, University policies and procedures, business continuity, audit and legislative requirements.
Lead and coach team to achieve organisational and team goals and objectives, aligned to expected outcomes.
Undertake appropriate senior level payroll tasks, including providing information or advice to a diverse group of senior staff on a range of complex or sensitive payroll related matters
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify operational and strategic needs, improve service... delivery, and monitor service performance
Internal Payroll Team Leaders and associated payroll team members. Team Leader HR Administration. Senior HR staff. Shared Services staff. Finance, IT and Risk and Audit staff. Executives and managers across the Organisation
External Payroll system vendor senior staff. Payroll community, mainly within Australasia. 3rd party stakeholders, e.g. IRD, ACC, NZ Audit, DHBs.
Tertiary level qualification or equivalent body of knowledge appropriate to the role. Proven leadership experience of a team where high levels of service and performance are expected. Strong Payroll experience, preferably in a large volume and complex payroll environment Eligibility to work in New Zealand
