Here's what you'll do in this job: Manage the efficient functioning of capital expenditure and project accounting processes in accordance with business needs and best practice. Design, implement and maintain efficient and effective capital expenditure and cost of service processes. Provide leadership and direction on project and fixed asset accounting issues, including recent Cloud accounting guidance. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and formulate accounting policies and position papers Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of depreciation rates in the fixed asset register Coach and develop a team of analysts to ensure they provide cross-functional collaborative leadership along with analytical and financial support for projects in their portfolios and the resulting capex accounting. You will be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) and ideally have Telecommunications or other capital intensive industry exposure where you have specifically worked in a role that is capex or Fixed Assets driven and have a good understanding of project accounting. Alternatively, you could currently be working as a Senior Audit Manager within a CA firm and be looking for a role in industry. You will have a solid understanding of IFRS and are comfortable explaining complex technical accounting issues to a range of stakeholders. You have a strong ability to influence, negotiate and resolve at all levels and can produce high quality material in tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
Along with the above, you are a strong people leader who enjoys mentoring and developing staff. You will naturally be a team player who actively participates in or leads group meetings and have exceptional interpersonal skills with sound judgement and the ability to develop strong, effective working relationships.
