The Management Accountant role, reporting to the Finance Lead, will provide business partnering support... to EROAD.
This role will provide you will the opportunity to apply your Accounting skills to supply accurate and timely information to the business, enabling sound business decisions and monitoring to occur.
This role also contributes to monthly performance management and reporting, budgeting, planning and forecasting as well as continual improvement of the financial and operational processes.
Requirements Minimum 2-years commercial experience A business-related tertiary qualification Achieved CA qualification or equivalent
Responsibilities Assist in the management of the month-end processes. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information by preparing month-end journals and reconciliations. Ensure accurate, insightful and value add analysis, commentary, and advice to maximize performance. Develop detailed knowledge of all aspects of business unit performance to pro-actively identify issues, risks and opportunities. Investigation and analysis of information to explain variations to budget and forecast. Assist in the continual review of processes and systems. Completion and assistance in compliance duties such as GST, FBT and tax. Maintenance of Fixed Asset ledger. Involvement in half-yearly and annual audits, including provision of information and explanations to auditors. Deliver a detailed budget and forecast in conjunction with senior managers and develop tools to support analysis for applicable business units. Preparation of weekly and ad-hoc reporting. Improve the understanding of financial matters for those around the business. Assist in the group consolidation and elimination entries that apply. Develop detailed knowledge of the inventory function and the resulting accounting entries.
