We are currently looking for a Senior Underwriter to join our Liability Portfolio team on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
Reporting to the Manager, Liability and Commercial Property, this Senior... Underwriter role is responsible for providing technical subject matter expert advice and guidance in support of the Casualty Liability portfolio. This role will assist with the maintenance of underwriting guidelines, rules and authorities. You will also be tasked with developing and maintaining product wordings and endorsements as well as pricing and underwriting tools. We expect this role to be heavily involved in broader business projects.
About you
Your significant technical commercial liability underwriting experience, along with a broad knowledge of general insurance functions will be key to your success in this role. Experience in developing liability products and policy wordings will be essential to this role.
This role will see you liaising with teams throughout the business so your demonstrable ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders will make you a trusted and respected advisor within the team. You will have superior written and verbal communication skills and advanced numerical and analytical abilities.
You will also have a strong commitment to your technical and personal development and be qualified as an ANZIIF Senior Associate or Fellow, ideally accompanied by a tertiary qualification in a business-related subject.
