MICROMINE is a world leading software and services provider of next generation technology for mining. Our Mongolia office is seeking an enthusiastic person with good working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Reporting into the Regional Manager, Mongolia, this role works closely with the local team, the finance team in MICROMINE Australia and local auditors.
What You Will Be Doing Being responsible for day-to-day finance and accounting operations Preparation of monthly Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow statements Monthly cashflow management and covenant adherence Review of payroll and administration of corporate and indirect tax, including preparation of reports for lodgement with the relevant Authorities Review of outstanding debtors (including liaising with external debt collection agents where required) and managing accrued... revenue accounts Assistance in budget and reforecast preparation Monitoring actual expenditure against approved budgets and reforecasts Ensure adherence to Authority Manual policies Contributing to the development and maintenance of effective internal control processes and accounting policies. Working closely with the Regional Manager to provide financial information useful in managing the region and ensure the timely submission of month end reports to Head Office in Australia
Our Ideal Candidates Has The Following Tertiary Qualification in Accounting / Finance from a recognised University Minimum 5 years relevant experience in financial and management accounting Experience working in an international company desirable Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience in preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP A working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Thorough understanding of Mongolian Tax compliance and reporting Good English written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP accounting software Advanced user of Microsoft Excel Able to work independently and highly meticulous Excellent analytical skills, confident, organised and self-driven
This role will need to be flexible in line with local COVID restrictions (i.e. you need to be able to work from home if required). Our office can be accessed if and when required with permission and adherence to COVID protocols.
