Primary Responsibilities: The field technical engineer position is a key part of the GE Wind Energy team and plays an essential role in the growth of wind energy services. Provide customers with high quality, value added service solutions involving installation and maintenance of wind energy products. Provide technical direction and/or field execution management of wind energy projects within the region as required. Support the business growth requirements by offering feedback to regional leadership on improvement areas and business opportunities. Support tools management on site. Provide wind farm troubleshooting and maintenance work. Keep turbines running with high performance. Complete all necessary technical and business documentation on time and accurate. Cooperate with function team like as sales, parts, engineer on site. EHS mindset and compliance, site implementation. Service quality control on site... and subcontractor management. Establish and maintain relationships with customers to make customer technical issues/requirements understood and addressed in a timely manner. Partner with the Services Engineering teams and interface with external and internal Lead site team to carry out operation activities in compliance with company, customers and local EHS regulations while the team working on customers site; Implement EHS activities as planned in compliance with EHS Plan / SWP, e.g. inspections, audits, trainings, meetings, and drills etc.; Maintain and improve a robust EHS Management System on site, collect EHS data, prepare and maintain EHS records and reports according to companys requirement; Monitor and recognize risks in site operations, including: lifting, working at height, traffic, logistic, hot work, confined space entry, electrical and commissioning operations, etc. Positively intervene unsafe act and conditions, to deliver a safe working environment for site operation team; Provide guidance and advice to site team on EHS aspects, facilitate site team lead to fulfill Risk Assessment, JSA, and various inspections to eliminate or minimize the risks in critical and routine operations; Lead site emergency response drills, assess performance, and implement improvements; Facilitate site team to perform investigation for EHS event, conduct lesson learnt sharing; Liaise with external parties, including customers representatives, local authority on EHS issues, to resolve EHS findings and concerns; Other tasks as requested by the companys management. Minimum 20% of your work week is to be dedicated to EHS duties onsite. DO not take advantage of it if you do not need it. Integrity and leadership in your role to be applied.
Qualifications / Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or three years equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years experience in service of monitoring and diagnostic electrical systems. Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel in English Demonstrate consistently high levels of performance in all areas of responsibility. Work efficiently without direct supervision. Customer Service mindset. Drive license need Locally recognized professional EHS qualification up to date with training requirement, e.g. Certified Safety Engineer by SWA; Fitness Examination Report for Working at Height, and electrical industry work by creditable local hospital
Desired Characteristics: Team work & strong execution ability. Strong oral and written communication skills Experience working directly with customers. Field engineer experience preferred Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems Experience in planning and schedule under weather condition
