Your role: Responsible for the profitability and growth of multiple... profit of 20M turnover and leveraging the P&L through portfolio optimization, optimal resource allocation, efficiency measures and innovative Go-To-Market. Direct the establishment of long-range plans, strategy and policy. Lead the launch of Mevenclad and Fertility reimbursement and maximize the impact of launches in CM&E, N&I and fertility. Direct marketing and sales, finance, quality and customer service activities for the country Engage, rollout and execute the Global / Regional People Strategy, based on 3 pillars Empowered Leaders, Result-driven Teams and Networks & Curious Talents. Lead cultural change within the organisation to promote a culture of high performance, feedback, coaching, mentoring and continuous development. Manage and develop a sales & marketing team of 24 employees. May formulate and implement operational strategies to ensure the attainment of revenue and profitability. May include additional Managing Director (MD) role: the MD is ultimately responsible that the subsidiary complies with all laws and regulations applicable to its business. This role is generally assigned only once for each legal entity and legally covers all represented divisions and functions. Identify market development opportunities and priorities in the country and coordinate specialist support from HQ's in order to qualify opportunities and establish business. Ensure business processes and procedures are in place to minimize internal risk and manage any external risk, within appropriate channels of communication.
Who you are: You have a degree in Life Science / Pharmaceuticals / Finance / Management. MBA is an asset. Minimum 10 years sales experience in the Chemical / Life Science / Pharma industry Minimum 5 years confirmed experience in management of a country or business unit Profound knowledge of the local markets and business environment, including competition, customer understanding and key political system actors Marketing skills, Compliance / Regulatory Affairs knowledge [to establish a compliance framework and manage compliance with the National and International Regulations Sound understanding of local legal requirements High learning agility i.e. business practices in Africa, dealing with locals, product knowledge & applications Confident, independent, positive thinking, self-driven Act as an ambassador for the company in a new market environment Fluent in French & English, Arabic is a plus
