Key Duties And Responsibilities
Field quality control
Conducting site visits to assess the quality of physical products
Conducting spot checks on service delivery
Utilizing the provided QC checklist to scrutinize furniture production
Project managing high value or high risk jobs
Interviewing and speaking with customers to assess quality
Generating Reports
Expected to consistently fill out the Q.C foams on a daily basis.
They are also expected to keep track and report during daily furniture check-ins of major trend on quality control, that includes pro struggles like wobbliness, poor quality finishes and workmanship and proposed solutions
Pro Recruitment and Engagement
Responsible for identifying good talent and proposing new recruitment to the Furniture Manager/Production Manager
Building positive and respectful relationships with Pros
Providing coaching to Pros in the field on best practices to meet the QC guidelines
Support vetting of furniture makers and... other Pros
Identify new sources for recruiting Pros and vetting methods
Conducting debrief meetings with those being removed from the system
Troubleshooting And Improving Carpenter Skills
You are Lynk eyes on the field, you own the quality of all Lynk furniture made by distributed pros and are expected to set up distributed carpenter to success, this includes constant feedback to carpenters on improvement areas and recommending deactivation of carpenters not able/willing to improve the quality of their work.
You identify and propose to the segment lead-furniture and decor, new ways or improvements to the current quality control methods and process, that will give Lynk better quality items
Core Competencies;
Accreditation from a TVET school in carpentry and joinery
They have experience in quality control in a structured furniture shop or have experience managing fundis.
They have exceptionally high standards, and know how to work with fundis to get them to work with quality and speed. They are are strict,
Willing to be tough, and dont accept ok as good enough, but can also use a softer support, coaching, and training approach where required.
They are an independent operator who can take instruction and use their experience and knowledge to work efficiently and provide the best solutions to potential problems.
They have great organizational skills and are able to effectively manage a variety of tasks
