Job Summary Skills, qualifications and experience
The selected consultant will be required to work with a multi-disciplinary team (with experience and expertise in disability inclusion programmes, public health, monitoring and evaluation, participatory research etc.). The consultant will possess the following minimum qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience:
Education:
Advanced University Degree (minimum Masters Degree in Development studies, Sociology, Gender / inclusion studies, Public Health, Political science or other related fields).
Experience
The consultant undertaking will have relevant previous experience on conducting research on health, community development and disability programming.
The consultant will have good analytical and writing skills, and good ability in analyzing and reporting information.
Excellent experience on analytical, facilitation, communication and report writing skills.
Has experience on developing similar resources for Persons with... Disabilities

Responsibilities The overall objective of this assignment is to develop a mainstreaming guide for the inclusion of persons with disabilities for the DESIP project guided by;
a) DESIP project scope, goal, and objectives.
b) The DESIP SEGA report that was carried out in 11 of the 19 Counties.
c) The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability
d) Additional local and international resources that promote to promote inclusion and to address the barriers that exclude Persons with Disabilities from full and equal participation in society and access health information and services.
The product of this assignment should guide the DESIP project at programming and operational level. In this respect, the specific objective of this consultant will be to recommend steps for establishing structures and processes (including for staff) that will promote effective mainstreaming of inclusion of persons with disabilities in the DESIP project implementation areas
Job Requirements Required education : Post-graduate education
