Leading African Fund seeks Investment Manager Nairobi Client: The Client is a leading venture fund that invests in growing ambitious and innovative companies with a coverage in the African markets where they are able to add substantial value to those businesses. Key responsibilities include: Deal Sourcing Performing analysis with the investment team for screening deals, writing of offer letters and post mortem analysis Management of deal logs Sector and specific research into current and potential renewables markets. Transactional Interpretation, management and responsibility for information flow feeding into valuation and sensitivity analysis using financial models during a transaction Responsibility for management of assumptions and investment case under direction of valuation assumptions Supporting the Investment Committee process including work on presentation and valuation topics Supporting the analysis, management and reporting of due diligence findings Supporting negotiations during a transaction Asset Management Constructing and... managing post investment models for Asset Management purposes. Producing quarterly valuations for monitoring and reporting reasons Supporting the debt financing tender processes Supporting the quarterly and annual (audit) reporting processes. Ideal candidate will have/be Minimum of 5yrs of experience from a top investment bank or investment fund Strong academic background Strong numeracy skills Proven capability in financial modelling Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including experience of investment writing An understanding of private equity and the alternative investment market including the industry jargon and the ability to manipulate standard methods of calculating financial metrics with relatively little guidance Experience of the renewable, energy or property sectors would be a great advantage Strong computer skills especially PowerPoint and Excel Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan / manage time Outstanding attention to detail High level of professionalism and confidentiality A robust, resilient self starter Nairobi Kenya
