National Key Account Manager High Tech Tokyo
This is key accounts management role for all customers within the high tech industry. Your Role
Your role is 1) to act as the primary company representative for the customer across all offered services, 2) to establish and deliver against targets based on agreed account portfolio and plans, 3) to maintain and develop close, direct and personal relations with Key Accounts, and 4)to conduct selling activities in accordance with KN’s Key Account Program guidelines. Your Responsibilities
• To directly manage Key Accounts, in accordance with agreed targets, goals and based on company guidelines, eliciting customer needs and selling KN offer portfolio.
• To ensure understanding of all customer organizations and decision making processes.
• To develop dedicated solution for the assigned clients; value creation through industry specific innovative developments, Business Unit (BU) products and KN's systems.
• To negotiate rates with customers in alignment with the BUs and ensure rate sheets... are documented and maintained as needed by the BUs.
• To ensure compliance with the company's sales management processes and systems and ensures correct and timely updates int he customer relationship system (CRM).
• To monitor monthly performance against set targets, and ensure that immediate actions are taken in case of deviations (incl. timely/ accurate reporting).
• To ensure that account plans are in place based on the Key Account Planning Process and template, and are signed off by the respective sales manager.
• To effectively hand over and transition new business into operations to ensure that customer requirements and KN commitments are met.
• To conduct regular and structured review sessions with assigned customers including; process for continuous improvement and innovation, review of customer strategy and priorities as well as operational excellence delivery.
• To build external industry network relations and represents Kuehne + Nagel as the industry expert: Engages in holistic supply chain discussion and adds value into the vertical portfolio opportunities; Conduct white-board session with strategic customers on yearly basis; Being able to sell to Senior Management layers within the client portfolio.
Your Skills and Experiences
• Diploma/Tertiary certification in Supply Chain or Business, with Degree Qualifications preferred
• Minimum 3 years of logistics operational experience, within the Freight Forwarding/Transportation industry
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical shipments via Ocean or Air Freight
• Ability to read, write and converse in Japanese and English fluently
• Strong team player and is self-motivated
