The Red Hat Japan marketing team is looking for a Senior Account Based Marketing Manager focused on the automotive and manufacturing space to join us in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, you will focus on delivering targeted initiatives to foster deeper relationships with some of the largest automobile manufacturer accounts by partnering very closely with the sales team. You will play a critical role in contributing to the growth objectives of the account, with a solid emphasis on guiding pipeline generation and accelerating existing opportunities. As a Senior Account Based Marketing Manager, you will also market to the broader automotive industry in Japan. In addition to being part of the Japan marketing team, you will be a dotted line into the broader Asia Pacific (APAC) account-based marketing (ABM) and vertical marketing team, aligning on key initiatives across the region.
Primary job responsibilities Define the ABM strategy for the named accounts and manage project... planning, implementation, timelines, resources, and budget Develop account-focused campaigns, including campaign concepts and creatives, customized content, digital marketing, outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, nurture, in-person and virtual events, and executive engagements with the goal of building and accelerating pipeline Gain an understanding of specific challenges of named accounts; discover the decision making process and key personas in the organization Develop and maintain comprehensive account profiles and target personas and oversee a database of named contacts to align marketing and sales in defining the target audience required to achieve account goals Work with sales to identify gaps in contact information within strategic accounts; develop data and insight strategy to acquire new or additional information Partner with the APAC vertical marketing team to create Japan-specific strategies and campaigns targeting the automotive industry existing and prospective customers in Japan Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through better audience segmentation and marketing techniques and processes Manage and promote an editorial calendar that supports the go-to-market plan for the automotive industry, both named accounts and the vertical Analyze metrics to ensure business impact measured by account pipeline and bookings, database growth, and account and person engagement; define the effectiveness of program activities and integrated content consumption Collaborate with the global ABM Program Office to gain consensus for cross-portfolio go-to-market plans and marketing plays aligned with solutions and sales directives
Required skills 5+ years of named account marketing or ABM experience targeting automotive industry customers in Japan at a B2B technology company 10+ years of marketing experience Understanding of enterprise software, cloud, or emerging technologies with the capability to integrate with programs that deliver on sales and product objectives Experience building and delivering integrated marketing campaigns, events, and executive and key account programs, as well as social media planning and implementation Ability to work as part of a team and solid interpersonal, persuasion, and relationship building skills; ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales professionals, and product teams and maintain focus on customers Solid writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills Understanding of pipeline management and metrics Masters degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is a plus
