Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) is an associated office of the Department of Justice and it plays a pivotal role in Irelands criminal justice system. It provides comprehensive scientific analysis, independent expert opinion, advice and training to support the Irish Justice system.
Laboratory Analysts play a pivotal role in ensuring that laboratory equipment and processes are operating to the necessary high standards for an ISO-accredited organisation. They are involved in delivering on a range of analytical techniques and generating reliable results on an on-going basis. They also help implement and validate new techniques to ensure that FSI is at the forefront of forensic technology and practice.
Vacancies currently exist for Laboratory Analysts (Chemical Analysts).
Candidates will hold a qualification at minimum Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications in Science, with Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry being a major component... and have strong practical laboratory skills including sample preparation and operating and/or maintaining laboratory instruments.
A panel will be formed from this campaign to fill any further Chemical Analyst vacancies which may arise.
