Reed Further Education are proud to be appointed as the Managed Service Provider for the South Thames College Group and REED are supplying all staffing for across the whole college group. The South Thames Colleges Group is made up of Kingston College, South Thames College, Carshalton College and Merton College, which merged in 2017.
The South Thames College Group are currently seeking fantastic Learning Coaches to support their additional needs learners on a temporary ongoing basis.
Learning Coaches support in the following areas: Communication Difficulties - BSL/Makaton/PECS PMLD & SEND (ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome etc.) Personal Care & Manual Handling Restraint Challenging Behaviour Epilepsy
The Learning Coach Role: Supporting learners with mild-moderate learning difficulties/challenging behaviour to reach their academic potential Supporting with... reading, scribing, wellbeing, encouragement and motivation in a variety of subjects Creating and reviewing SMART goals Supporting learners aged 16+
What the Learning Coach Will Need: GCSE Maths & English grade A-C or equivalent Personal or work experience supporting individuals who experience mild-moderate learning difficulties/challenging behaviour A good understanding of Special Education Needs/Learning Difficulties
