Plan Intemational began working in the Pacific in 2012 and has offices and staff in Solomon Islands (SI} and PNG, in Bougainville and is in the process of establishing a regional office in Suva, Fiji.
Plan is seeking to hire a Pacific Business Development Manager, who will provide leadership across the Pacific working closely with Bougainville/PNG and Solomon Islands Programme Managers and their teams to develop, expand and generate business, develop bids for international development and humanitarian funding opportunities to enable Plan... International Pacific resource its strategy for children, women and girls.
Do you have what it takes to be successful in this role? Masters Degree in social work, international relations, development or similar fields At least 7 years of relevant experience especially in the INGO Sector in Business Development Demonstrated track record of proposal writing with a proven fundraising record Knowledge, understanding and experiencing of the different donors (bilateral, multilaterals} as well as fundraising landscape and interest in the Pacific Proven experience and ability to collaborate with different donors, governments and the private sector Demonstrable working experience in programme design and development; experience in Plan International's areas of programming preferred Knowledge of developmental agendas in complex and protracted development and humanitarian landscape Ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively on area of expertise, and influence others to reach common goals Experience in leading team, coaching and mentoring, especially managing a large team Demonstrable at influencing stakeholders and consensus building
Reports to : Pacific Programme Director
Grade/Salary: This is a Grade E role, $82,172-$163,182 FJD per annum, an offer of appointment for an initial offer will be made in the lower range and this depends on candidates experience and qualifications.
