We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Sales Specialist. This role will specialize in identifying qualified leads from different marketing activities and calling to them to follow up interest and eventually have them sign up for our VMC on AWS service. Also, the role includes calling up existing customers in order to... increase their existing consumption of our VMC on AWS service. Many have already signed up for a very small test promo and needs a helping had to get it developed further. You will also work on specific marketing and regional campaigns with the various sales teams in country. This position requires excellent communication skills that result in meeting or exceeding the assigned targets. You will need to interact with sales, engineering, marketing, partners, prospects and customers to maximize the total Customer Experience.
Job Responsibilities & Key Objectives Follow up on customers who signed up for smaller test environment (1-node campaign) and help them onboard and start consuming Follow up and qualify new prospects from marketing-generated leads Prospect, qualify and develop new prospects to appointments Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and obtain business requirements Work closely with other Digitial Sales teams or in-country sales teams to determine strategic approach Disseminate opportunities to appropriate Sales Representative as necessary about the opportunity Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections Build and develop initial customer relationships Meet or exceed assigned bookings goals (consumption of the VMC on AWS service) Manage and document lead cycle in VMware's CRM system Promote, develop and maintain knowledge of VMware other products and services, industry trends, and competition Produce reports as necessary
Skills & Requirements Native level of English, other languages are nice to have. A persistent, self-starter with a track record for success - high level of energy and positive attitude Credible follow-up and cold calling experience to multiple executive levels within an organization Technology or similar industry experience preferred Pre-call planning, outbound and proactive calling Opportunity qualification and objection handling Structure and control a call Time and territory management Accurate data entry and management of leads in a CRM system A team player with the ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment Excellent phone, listening, and writing skills Ability to multi-task and operate successfully in a rapidly changing environment Sales training, Salesforce.com experience would be a plus
