JOB OVERVIEW

• The Recruitment Manager is responsible for leading, developing and delivering DHL’s talent acquisition goals in the most effective and efficient manner. The person will act as a consultant and work with hiring managers to deliver the end-to-end talent acquisition process including advertising vacancies, screening & shortlisting, assessment & selection, offer and the employee on boarding process.

• The person will ensure that our approach to talent acquisition strengthens DHL’s position as an... Employer of Choice; and all recruitment practices are professionally managed to hire the best fit talent for DHL and an excellent experience for all candidates.

• The recruitment manager will participate in the design and ensure implementation of resourcing strategy to design, deliver and manage Recruitment processes to attract, select, integrate, engage and retain people within the organization with the right aptitude and abilities in line with business needs, HR strategy, industry best practices and current legislation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

General Responsibilities:

• Develop and ensure consistent implementation of resourcing initiatives, programs and tools including elements such as assessment and selection frameworks, integration with other processes and budgets.

• Manage all role job descriptions for all Bahrain based entities and assist in review / amendment / development of job descriptions.

• Ensure maintenance and development of resourcing and candidate tracking systems.

• Determine and advise on recruitment methods, channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Agencies, and Universities) and selection tools.

• Define recruitment needs, role requirements and sourcing plan with Business Managers and oversee execution of the same.

• Ensure processes, policies and approaches are regularly refreshed to remove bias and prevent discrimination.

• Oversee effective workforce planning identifying and developing pipeline to meet current and future resourcing and business needs.

• Prepare plans and oversee execution of achievement of desired Employer Branding and promote DPDHL brand.

• Lay down guidelines and oversee implementation of Graduate /College Recruitment and Internship programs.

• Participate in career fair and represent the company.

• Design frameworks and lead implementation of On-boarding processes and Induction programs.

• Resolve issues related to Resourcing, integration of key processes and data analytics.

• Keep up to date with industry best practices.

• Provide regular updates to managers on the status of their recruitment.

• Provide timely and professional updates to all candidates. Ensure that the candidates have a professional recruitment experience.

• Provide feedback to all internal candidates for developmental purpose.

• Ensure that employee selection and appointments are carried out in a structured and systematic approach and meet HR policy and local legislation. As well as conduct reference and security checks on selected candidates.

• The position will be responsible for managing the recruitment coordinator position to include performance management, KPI setting and monitoring, Training and Development, Engaging and motivating etc.

• In addition to the Bahrain recruitment activities, this position is responsible for the recruitment request process (RRF) put in place for MENA countries. The role holder needs to ensure all positions are clarified and carried through the approval process in accordance with the MENA policy and to ensure all necessary requested information by MENA CEO is provided on time.

• Perform other tasks and duties as and when requested by the company / management.

Recruitment Planning:

• Manage the recruitment strategy and process. Provide advice on recruitment methods, channels (e.g. LinkedIn, Agencies, and Universities) and selection tools (e.g. psychometric, ability, other tests etc.). Ensure processes, policies and approaches are regularly refreshed to hire the best fit talent.

Employer Branding:

• Create external / internal job adverts to attract a suitable pool of candidates through appropriate channels, leveraging new technology and cost effective recruitment methods. Ensure that the job adverts positions DHL’s market leading recognition as a Great Place to Work.

Workforce Planning:

• Manage the current and forecasted recruitment requirements and ensure that the business is supported with the required number of employees, with the required skills, at the required time. Provide innovative solutions to deal with ad-hoc/seasonal recruitment requirements.

Best fit Selection Tools:

• Use selection methodology that enables DHL to test the candidate’s ability and match; such as competency interviews, tests, behavioural-based questions and psychometric tools. Work with line managers to define recruitment needs, establish role requirements, sourcing plan and execute the sourcing plan. Support the selection process and interviewing. Demonstrate high level of customer orientation including regular consultation with business managers on recruitment needs, status of hires and areas of improvement in the selection process. Provide timely and appropriate development feedback to internal & external applicants.

• Create, implement and manage Graduate /College Recruitment and Internship programs to support DHL’s commitment to developing young talent.

Measurement:

• Provide reports to measure recruitment quality & efficiency standards, analyze hiring effectiveness to identify trends and efficiencies. Provide recommendations and implement solutions to improve.

On-boarding:

• Manage the on boarding process leveraging global and divisional processes/tools with local practices. Ownership of frameworks, tools and programs for effective integration of new employees their roles up to probationary review.

Recruitment processes:

• Ensure that employee selection and appointments are carried out in a structured and systematic approach to meet HR policy and local legislation. Identify and participate in best practice benchmarking providing recommendations & implementing best in class recruitment practices. As part of the middle management team, this role plays is involved in cross team business projects, HR strategy planning and other people/HR related projects.

SCOPE

• The job holder will need to be able to Influence others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures as well as develop strong, trusting relationships with business leaders across DPDHL. Cooperate with and coordinate 3rd party e.g. external service providers and advice customers and key stakeholders on processes, systems and tools.

• Make decisions on shortlisting candidates for the company database after consideration of the skills and requirements of the job.

• Provides innovative and constructive solutions to provide the most effective results.

• Gives clear directions and ensures others know what is expected of them. Monitors and reviews performance, providing support and guidance to ensure success. Enforces quality standards and agreed upon commitments, addressing performance problems in a timely manner. Plans and prioritizes requirements to meet the demands of the various departments.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a Talent Acquisition/Recruitment role with proven results in successfully hiring a large number of roles at mid-senior level.

• Psychometric Testing and Assessment Centre qualifications. Strong experience in competency based interviewing.

• Hands on experience in E-recruitment systems and online sourcing channels.

• Educated to degree level preferably in Human Resources.

• HR certification (CIPD level 5 and above).

• Qualified in Assessment Tools.

• Fluent in both, English and Arabic languages.

• Excellent Communication Skills.

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage with people at all levels & cultures.

• High level of customer orientation.

• Must be good at planning and prioritising in a multi-tasking environment

• Competent at giving feedback, guiding & influencing.

• Self-motivated and uses initiative to suggest new ideas, improvements.

• High energy, drive and commitment.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Good level of reporting and analytical skills
