Join our dedicated and evolving HR Analytics team whose focus is the provision of high-quality workforce information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. As the HR Data Analyst, you will be responsible for responding to, and completing reporting requests across our primary systems DeakinPeople and Page Up (Recruitment) as well as maintaining our core reporting environment and dashboard interfaces.
This position will require a strong technical ability to utilise the enterprise reporting and business intelligence tools (IBM Cognos11 & Tableau) to ensure workforce information can be accessed efficiently and with a focus on continuous improvement. Your key responsibilities will include: Deliver requested workforce information in an accurate and timely manner ensuring that our annual reporting obligations are met and ad hoc requests are actioned with a high quality customer service. This position will work with internal stakeholders such as Council, Office of the Vice Chancellor, Office of the Chief Finance Officer, Diversity and Inclusion, Internal Audit, Deakin Research and other Portfolios/Faculties as well as external stakeholders such as Department of Education, appointed auditors, Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
Maintain the core suite of self service reports and dashboards available to staff as well as identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. This position will be required to use SQL to extract data and utilise expert skills in excel to manipulate data or enhance self service reports through IBM Cognos11.
Develop customised reports by working with stakeholders to understand the problem and collaborate to develop a tailored solution. This includes providing technical solutions and advice to support strategic priorities or systems changes. In collaboration with the Senior HR Data Analyst monitor the data quality security, permissions and user access to the Workforce Information framework to ensure data breaches are minimised and reporting practices are aligned with the Deakin University Information Privacy Statement and emerging obligations.
Contribute towards the development and delivery of training or engagement opportunities to key stakeholders to enhance their knowledge and capability of the availability of workforce information.
Develop sound relationships with partners and collaborators across the University to ensure that access and support to workforce information is reliable and accurate.
Build strong knowledge of HR Practices and University policies and procedures to ensure contextual knowledge is applied to the development of products, services and presentations.
To be successful, youll have: Experience or knowledge of workforce reporting including the ability to apply your technical skills to support the University to obtain a range of workforce planning and resource planning matters.
Demonstrated experience working in a busy, client-facing role that requires you to showcase excellent customer service skills.
A strong drive to work as part of a team to identify and breakdown complex problems, then develop innovative solutions that will evolve the Workforce Information and Analytics function from foundational to advanced practices.
