An opportunity now exists for an experienced leader in Healthcare to join NWRH in a Team Leader role.
Suitable candidates will hold mental health qualifications and a minimum of 2 years experience in management positions, and/or qualifications and experience in Management.
Reporting to the Integrated Mental Health Manager, as Team Leader you will be responsible for the efficient operational management of a range of Mental Health... and Wellbeing related programs across the Mount Isa and neighbouring catchment areas in North and West Queensland.
In This Role You Will Be Responsible For
Recruitment and retention of suitably qualified staff; Supervision and monitoring of a team of staff working in both rural and remote areas; Management of data/documentation and reporting; Manage the performance of a range of programs in line with contractual KPIs; Extensive travel throughout the service region; and Workplace health and safety matters. As the Team Leader youll be overseeing the delivery of community-based and outreach mental health services to individuals experiencing severe and complex mental health disorders.
Your extensive background as a Leader will enable you to collaborate effectively with primary health providers, mental health professionals and other stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of services.
You will be leading a team of approx. 5-10 staff, and be required to have a minimum of 2 years leadership experience managing a healthcare program.
As a Team Leader you will demonstrate high-level written and verbal communication skills, have an awareness of Indigenous health issues and the ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner with people of diverse cultural backgrounds. Although not essential, any experience gained in a remote/rural area and working with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people will be highly regarded.
