Contract: Power System Engineer Stockton-on-Tees
About the Company The client is a market leader in using digital technologies to allow more cleaner energy across the globe. About the Role In this role you will support the clients partners on their utility scale solar projects. Duties & Responsibilities: * Develop PSS/E and PSCAD Models. * Configure designs to align with both local and national regulations. * Work on grid connection studies - harmonics, flicker, load flow & short circuit level and dynamics. * Manage the progression of connection applications. * Provide technical support to customer and consultant projects. Experience & Skills: * Bachelor's Electrical Engineering degree. * 2+ years proven experience in renewable energy sources, grid connection. * Power system software experience. * Experience with GPS studies and connection application procedures. * Knowledge of AEMO, NER, NEM functions and requirements would be advantageous. * Experience with harmonic studies, dynamic studies, steady-state and AC contingency... analyses * Good communication skills.
