About The Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced hospitality worker who is willing to take on a rewarding role in the residential aged care environment. You will be a master at multi-tasking and your main area of responsibility will be preparing high quality, fresh and nutritious meals for our residents with special dietary requirements.
Throughout this role, you will have the opportunity to make meal time the highlight of the day for our residents. Sharing your cooking experience and compassionate and patient nature, you will actively contribute to ensure adherence to food safety regulations and establish high standards of customer service to our residents.

About You
You will have comprehensive understanding of legislation relevant to the industry plus knowledge and application of safe food hygiene practices. Your highly developed prioritisation and time management skills are just some of your strengths. You will enjoy working with the elderly and have empathy to their needs. If you are enthusiastic, reliable and work well in a team environment, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
To Be Suited To This Position, You Will Have
Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery;
A Food Safety Supervisor certificate is desirable;
Experience in the Aged Care industry is preferable;
Practical knowledge of legislation relevant to hospitality services including experience of operational achievement of accreditation standards;
Solid understanding of food safety legislation, texture modification and special needs diets.
