About the role
As Head of Education Strategy and Development youÂ’re responsible for overseeing the strategic, operational and academic direction of the CollegeÂ’s Education plan as well as the related frameworks and programs that support the realisation of this plan. A core part of the remit includes teacher professional development, ensuring alignment with the CollegeÂ’s strategic objectives.
Working with a diverse range of stakeholders that includes the broader LI team, all teaching areas and P&C, youÂ’ll lead the identification of the professional development and training needs of our teachers; ultimately devising and executing a development program that is responsive to the principles of the Education plan, and meets the bespoke needs of teachers.
About you
We’re looking for someone who can pivot between the strategic and operational whilst successfully driving frameworks and programs that support the academic direction as determined by the Education plan. You’ll have demonstrable success in fostering and managing complex relationships, with internal and external stakeholders, so you can deliver on a change mandate. Your track record will be supplemented by: • Postgraduate qualification in Education (or similar) or Organisational Development combined with significant teaching and management experience in teaching/teacher education, org development or similar, ideally with exposure to transition or pathway education for international students. • Demonstrated knowledge and successful application of theories, practices and models for educational organisation capability uplift in ways that support students’ academic performance and success. • Proven leadership capability and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to conceive and drive cultural change. • Leading a multidisciplinary team in a changing environment including leading the development and implementation of key business processes and practices.
