The Opportunity
The McKinnon Institute for Political Leadership (MKI) is a non-partisan organisation committed to contributing to a better future for Australia by raising the standard of political leadership in Australia through professional development for members of parliament. The McKinnon Institute was established in June 2019 and is a partnership between the Susan McKinnon Foundation and Monash University.
After an extremely successful first year of delivery in 2020, MKI is now seeking to appoint... an experienced Senior Program Manager to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, this is a brilliant opportunity to create and deliver high quality, engaging and practical training and leadership programs for state and federal members of parliament, at various career stages.
The Senior Program Manager will be accountable for the achievement of MKI and wider University goals through the research, planning, development and implementation of face-to-face and online training programs. The role will lead and manage all aspects of the operational performance, administration and governance arrangements and financial management of training projects within MKI.
A practical understanding of government and political engagement, from working within or in partnership with government, or a comparable field, will be highly regarded.
Key to success in this role will be proven exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated performance in the development and delivery of exceptional training and leadership programs. Complementing the successful candidates customer service skills will be an ability to deliver positive and innovative solutions and build relationships at the highest levels with internal and external stakeholders.
