Parttime 4 days per week, flexible days & hours
Prorata of $96K Package pannum based on experience
Based in Laverton area, and supporting CBD head office

About the Role
Based in Laverton, reporting to the General Manager of Operations & Supply Chain, in this hands-on role you'll:
Review and implement health and safety induction programs for labour hire staff, contractors, visitors and employees
Assist with, advise and audit on compliance of... legislation
Develop methods to better manage hazards, systems, processes and control injuries and near misses
Compile, analyse and interpret data and prepare reports to the management team
Develop and facilitate training for staff
Drive a positive safety culture with the operational & leadership team Some of your duties will include:
Working with the senior leadership team to provide specialist expertise to reduce workplace incidents and build a positive safety culture across the business.
Review, update and implement OH&S procedures
Conduct risk management activities and processes, involving teams
Ensure teams are provided with OH&S information, training and instruction
Ensuring communication/consultation mechanisms in place & active Committees
Ensuring incidents are recorded, investigated & strong corrective actions are implemented
Monitor & review effective emergency management procedures
OHS Consultation and Issue Resolution Procedures implemented
Monitoring and reviewing the OHS performance with regard to OHS Committee meetings, workplace inspections, incident/hazards, induction of new staff and legislative compliance of the business To be great in this role you:
Strong relationship management of both internal and external stakeholders
A hands-on person who enjoys getting out and about sharing knowledge
3 to 4 yrs experience working in OHS roles in food manufacturing
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and independently
Strong Knowledge of Victorian OHS legislation
Food/Dairy industry experience (desirable) Qualifications Education and/or professional
Certificate IV in OHS or higher
Accreditation as a Return-to-Work Coordinator
Current Drivers Licence
