We are seeking an experienced physician with FRACP in General Medicine or another specialty and a strong commitment to education and professional development of physician trainees. The successful candidate will have mature communication and organisational skills, and a strong clinical background of excellence in patient care and trainee education. The position is suitable for existing full time or VMO staff or external applicants with appropriate experience.
The Deputy Director of Physician Education Y1 will assist the Director of Physician Education (DPE) and ensure that standards of Basic Physician training within Alfred Health are of the highest quality and meet RACP requirements.
The prime focus of the... Deputy DPE Y1 is to achieve delivery of the RACP, PREP and Basic Physician Training program with special focus on first year physician trainees. This will require knowledge of the RACP training requirements and of the Basic Physician Training rotations and program within Alfred Health.
The Deputy DPE Y1 will also contribute extensively to the development and maintenance of an outward facing education program in Internal Medicine for both trainees and fellows.
Applications must be legally qualified medical practitioners registered with AHPRA and hold Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Applicants must demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience in General Medicine, and meet Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in General Medicine.
